Het weekend staat weer voor de deur en dus blikken we in de Crypto Insiders weekupdate weer terug op het crypto nieuws van deze week. In deze weekly recap vind je flink wat adoptie nieuws omtrent Bitcoin (BTC)!
Te beginnen met het nieuws dat Nederlandse bitcoin investeerders in de top 3 zijn geëindigd van winstgevendste investeerders. Gemiddeld behaalden we $767 winst met onze crypto investeringen. En dat is dus goed voor plek 3, achter Zwitserland en Tsjechië.
En we blijven op eigen bodem. Eind mei zal namelijk Authic gelanceerd worden, een non-fungible token (NFT) marktplaats. Op dit platform zal je enkel kunst van geverifieerde kunstenaars en artiesten uit de Benelux vinden. Tevens is Authic het eerste NFT-platform dat iDEAL ondersteunt.
Qua bitcoin adoptie ging het deze week uitstekend. In de Centraal-Afrikaanse Republiek is de cryptocurrency namelijk officieel als wettig betaalmiddel geaccepteerd. Daar was eerst nog wat onduidelijkheid over. Eerst leek het erop dat het wel zo was, toen weer niet, maar uiteindelijk toch weer wel!
In de Verenigde Staten gaat het ook goed met de adoptie van BTC. Uit onderzoek van Insider Intelligence hebben namelijk 34 miljoen Amerikanen een of meerdere cryptocurrencies in bezit. Daarnaast verwacht het onderzoeksbureau dat het daadwerkelijke gebruik van crypto als betaalmethode dit jaar met 70% zal stijgen.
Dat de Amerikanen steeds verder opwarmen voor crypto blijkt ook uit dit mooie nieuwe. Fidelity gaat namelijk bitcoin een van de investeringsopties maken in de pensioenen die het voor 23.000 bedrijven aanbiedt.
