Het Cardano (ADA) netwerk ondervond in september van 2021 een grote update waardoor het netwerk smart contract functionaliteiten kreeg. Sindsdien is Cardano hard gegroeid. Het aantal gebruikers steeg enorm, maar ook het aantal projecten dat gebouwd wordt op het Cardano ecosysteem is in een stroomversnelling geraakt. Afgelopen maand kwamen er maar liefst 400 nieuwe projecten bij!
Vandaag de dag worden er bijna 900 nieuwe projecten ontwikkeld op Cardano. Ongeveer een maand geleden waren dat er slechts 500. In een een maand tijd is deze hoeveelheid met zeker 400 projecten gestegen. Goed nieuws voor Cardano dus.

Het team van Cardano verwacht in de nabije toekomst dat deze trend alleen nog maar verder versneld zal gaan worden. Op 29 juni staat namelijk weer een grote update op de agenda. Dit keer gaat het om de Vasil Hard Fork. Deze update zal ervoor moeten zorgen dat het Cardano netwerk nog meer transacties kan gaan verwerken door middel van het zogeheten pipelining
Als de geschiedenis een indicatie is, dan is de kans ook zeker aanwezig dat de koers van ADA stijgt in de aanloop naar de Vasil update. De meest recente Alonzo hard fork zorgde er namelijk voor dat ADA zeker 135% steeg tot een nieuwe all-time high van $2,96.
Achter de schermen doet het Cardano netwerk goede zaken. Er wordt op grote schaal op het netwerk door ontwikkelaars gebouwd. Non-fungible token NFT), decentralized finance (DeFi) en nog veel meer soorten projecten worden op dit moment ontwikkeld in grote getalen.
Daarnaast groeide het aantal gebruikers binnen het Cardano ecosysteem in het eerste kwartaal van dit jaar met maar liefst 500.000! Op 1 januari van dit jaar waren er 2,6 miljoen en slechts een paar maanden later waren dit er al een half miljoen extra. Elke dag kwamen er meer dan 5.000 nieuwe Cardano wallets bij.
