Non-fungible tokens (NFT’s) en de metaverse zijn hot topics geworden in 2021. Tot nu toe is het voornamelijk gebleven bij eenvoudige plaatjes die voor flinke bedragen werden verhandeld. Maar nu lijkt een nieuw tijdperk aan te breken: NFT 2.0.
Deze nieuwe NFT’s gaan een stap verder. Hierbij wordt gebruikgemaakt van zogenaamde nested NFT’s. Dit houdt in dat een NFT meerdere NFT’s kan bevatten. Je kunt het zien als de add-ons die je in games tegenkomt. Daarnaast wordt het nut van de nieuwe serie NFT’s ook groter. Je kunt er zelfs geld mee verdienen!
RMRK is zo’n project dat zich bezighoudt met NFT 2.0. Het project is gebouwd op Kusama, dat onderdeel is van het Polkadot-ecosysteem. Daarom duikt Wiebe in deze video diep in de wereld van RMRK.
